This interactive calculator is a breeze to use. Type in an amount in one currency, click to select another currency, then click once more to convert the amount (based on closing rates from the previous trading day). Visitors can conjure up charts showing the base currency of their choice converted into several dozen others and sign up to have updates e-mailed to them daily.
Working partly from data gleaned at the Currency Converter site, the Pacific service adds some powerful extras. A database of historical rates cover some of the major currencies all the way back to 1971. The site also makes it possible to chart rates based on the historical data - and wins extra points for making the process so simple.
